Why am I getting "Restart with administrator privileges" warning in Desktop UI cases

Introduction

Leapwork requires administrator privileges when an attempt is made to capture an icon on the desktop with the "Start Application" block. By default, Leapwork only has permissions to access the Desktop folder located in a user folder (C:\Users\Username\Desktop). For working with desktop files and shortcuts in a public folder (C:\Users\Public\Desktop), Leapwork needs administrator permissions.

Resolution

Please click on the "Restart as admin" button (as shown below) to enable capturing shortcuts in Leapwork. However, if you don't have admin rights or you don't want to run via administrative privileges, you can still continue tests by clicking the "Continue" button (highlighted in green box). In order to capture the shortcut or application, you can start the application manually and capture the application window instead.
