I am getting error "The element doesn’t support the pattern(s) required by the block"

LEAPWORK shows this message when the user tries to capture desktop element to the block and the captured element does not support the required patterns. For example, if the user tries to capture a button with the “Expand UI Element” block then the below error message is shown.

These are the patterns specific for the mentioned blocks and not supported by other blocks. (Please note that the Invoke UI block supports all patterns):

Resolution

Users should capture the element with the "Find UI Element" block, then open the UI editor (right-click on the element - edit UI element).

Here, the user will see the supported methods (patterns) and use the best suited block to capture the element. Refer below:
