How to change log file location in Leapwork

There are two ways to change the standard log file location in Leapwork, during installation and by changing the configuration files (after installation).

  1. During Installation : User can also define a different path to the log files while installing Leapwork at the below step:

  2. Post Installation : User can change the log file location after installation by following the below steps:

Precondition: Close Leapwork Studio, stop Agent and Controller service, and follow the below steps.

  1. Agent: Open "C:\Program Files\Leapwork\Agent\agent.config" file and edit "LogsFolder": "C:\Program Files\Leapwork\Logs\" to add your custom path.
    1. Controller: Open "C:\Program Files\Leapwork\Agent\controller.config" file and edit "LogsFolder": "C:\Program Files\Leapwork\Logs\" to add your custom path.
    2. Studio: Open "C:\Program Files\Leapwork\Agent\studio.config" file and edit "LogsFolder": "C:\Program Files\Leapwork\Logs\" to add your custom path.

Open Studio and start of Agent and Controller service, logs generation should start in a new location now.

Note: Make sure that \ is there in the path ("C:\Program Files\Leapwork\Logs\") otherwise Leapwork will not be able to identify it as Path.
