Encountering Screenshot Restrictions in Mobile Application Pages

There are certain mobile applications that restrict the screenshot capabilities on some of their app pages such as banking applications. There is a similar restriction on the Salesforce app login page, wherein the user cannot capture a screenshot of the page due to security policy or reasons.

In such cases, the connection between Leapwork and the specific restricted page may not be established using Appium and therefore that page may not be automated using mobile automation building blocks.

As a pre-requisite for such applications, the application should be logged in before automation can be performed, and then perform the test automation on the subsequent pages of the application wherein the restrictions are not available. For instance, while accessing the Salesforce app on mobile, the user may need to manually log in to the application and after the login is successful, the test automation using Leapwork can commence.
