Leapwork Cloud Setup and Onboarding Guide
Introduction
Welcome to the Leapwork Cloud onboarding guide! This guide will help you set up Leapwork in your environment and ensure a smooth experience as you begin automating tasks using Leapwork Studio and Leapwork Controller and Agent(s) hosted on Leapwork cloud.
By following the simple steps in this guide, you'll be able to configure Leapwork Studio and connect it with Leapwork Cloud Controller and Agents.
Installing Leapwork Studio on your infrastructure.
Pre-requisites
1: Operating System and Studio Machine Configuration
Before starting the installation, ensure that your studio machine meets the necessary system requirements:
- Operating System: Leapwork Studio must be installed on a studio machine running Windows 10 or later (64-bit).
- If you're using a Virtual Machine (VM), ensure the VM also meets the Windows OS requirement.
Studio Machine Configuration:
Your studio machine (laptop, desktop or VM) should meet the following specifications:
- CPU: Minimum 4 cores (8 cores are recommended for optimal performance).
- RAM: Minimum of 8 GB (16 GB recommended for optimal performance).
- Disk Space: Minimum 20 GB of free space.
- Internet Connection: A stable broadband connection is required to communicate with the Leapwork controller and Agents hosted on Cloud.
2: Administrative Privileges
Ensure that your IT person doing the installation has administrative privileges on the respective infrastructure. This is essential for completing the installation.
3: Install .NET Framework
The identified machine must have the .NET 4.8 framework installed.
Studio Installation
Once .NET is installed, download the latest Leapwork release and install Leapwork Studio on the studio machine Click here to visit the Leapwork release page
Installation Steps
Open the MSI file location and double-click the .msi-file to start the installation. The first screen will display the version number and ensure that the downloaded version fits your computer.
Click 'Next' to begin the installation.
Read the end user agreement, tick “I accept the terms in the license agreement” checkbox, and click 'Next' button if you agree.
Choose Automation Studio and deselect the other two; you can keep Agent if you want to keep it on the same machine, but we do not recommend having Agent installed on the studio machine.
