# Set Number

The **Set number** building block defines a **number value**, typically used as a constant that you pass into other building blocks (for example **Calculate**).

**Note:** The screenshot on this page uses the **Elegance Design**, introduced in **2025.3**. If you are using an earlier version, your layout may look different.

## Quick-start

1. Drag **Set number** onto the canvas.
2. Enter **Number value**, then connect the value to the next block that needs a numeric input.
3. Run the flow when it's ready.

## *Building block parameters*

Parameters
* **Block header**: Shows the current title of the block. You can rename it by double-clicking the header text and typing a new title. This block has **no green input or output connectors** in the header because it is not explicitly executed. Instead, it sets a number value for other blocks.
* **Number value**: The numeric value to be used by other building blocks.
