# Execution Input

The **Execution Input** block is used to provide **input into a Sub-flow**. It defines the execution input that will be available wherever the sub-flow is used in your test.

The Execution Input block shows the following properties:

**Note:** The screenshot on this page uses the **Elegance Design** , introduced in **2025.3**. If you are using an earlier version, your layout may look different.

## Quick-start

1. Drag **Execution Input** onto the canvas.

2. Connect the block's header output connector to the first block in the sub-flow that should receive the execution input.

3. Run the flow when it's ready.

## Building block parameters

Parameters  
* **Block header**: The green output connector in the header is used to define the input execution. Connect it to the first block of the sub-flow that can receive input. When the sub-flow is used elsewhere in a test, the execution input defined here is available through this block. You can rename the block by double-clicking the header text and typing a new title.
